About

Following a BA (Hons) degree in Interior Design from Northumbria University in 2013, Molly went on to gain invaluable experience working within established design studios in London, Vancouver and most recently, Newcastle.

In 2025, Molly founded Molly Bulman - Interior Design, establishing a small, considered design studio based in Northumberland.

Now working across the North East and beyond, Molly offers a tailored consultancy service, bringing over a decade of industry experience to projects that seek warmth, individuality and a strong sense of place.

  • I founded the studio to offer thoughtful design guidance for homes that feel calm, balanced and deeply personal. My work focuses on helping clients shape interiors that are both beautiful and practical, with careful attention given to colour, proportion, materials and atmosphere.

Rather than following trends, the aim is always to create spaces that feel timeless and quietly considered — homes that feel natural to live in and reflective of the people who inhabit them.

  • Each project begins with understanding the character of the space and how it is used day to day. From there, I help develop a clear design package that brings together layout, colour, materials and furnishings into a cohesive scheme.

My role is to provide thoughtful guidance and clarity throughout the process, helping clients make confident decisions while ensuring the overall design remains balanced and harmonious.

  • I work with homeowners who would like professional guidance to shape their interiors, whether they are planning a renovation, refreshing a room or simply seeking clarity on how to bring their ideas together.

Some projects focus on a single space, while others involve several areas of the home. In each case, the aim is the same: to create interiors that feel calm, considered and well resolved.

What is Interior Design Consultancy?

Unlike full-service interior design, consultancy focuses on giving you clear guidance rather than managing the entire project or handling sourcing on your behalf. It’s a more flexible and accessible way to work with a designer.

This is an ideal offering if you’d like professional input and reassurance, while staying hands-on and in control of your build or renovation.
